Video Production and Editing Specialist will manage a diverse range of video and animation projects to produce a final video or animation product. This is a key role in the moving image process and your skills will determine the quality and delivery of the finished result, which will be delivered in a variety of file formats (MP4, GIF, WMV). On some projects you will be given creative freedom, while on others you’ll be required to make the required changes and edits based on specific channels delivers our marketing objectives in a highly efficient and well organised global team with an international and progressive mindset.

Key responsibilities

Your work as an editor will involve:
• receiving a brief, and maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, or storyboard
• assembling all raw footage, with camera shots either recorded or transferred in preparation for inputting into the computer
• inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronising and storing them into files on the computer
• digitally cutting files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what’s usable
• creating a ‘rough cut’ (or assembly edit) of the programme/film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages
• reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.
• overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing
• experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements
• suggesting or selecting music
• online editing including technical aspects such as correcting faulty footage, grading and colouring and adding special effects

Skills & Experience
• Project management
• Developing creative concepts and designs to the different campaigns from our global offices.
• Work closely with the team to visually explain data findings, including infographics.
• Assist with the storyboarding and production process
• Liaise effectively with colleagues to understand requirements and suggest the different approaches available
• Training graphic designers with some video editing skills to develop their skills
• Supervise the video output of graphic design colleagues
• Proven work experience as a Video Editor
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
• Creative mind and storytelling skills
• BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
• Demonstrable portfolio of corporate work delivered working in-house and for agency.
